“POS got stuck for a second” message when QuickBooks Point of Sale not running as Windows admin.

Intuit has released the following information:

 

 

What is happening: QuickBooks Point of Sale customers are encountering pop up messages when processing credit cards or running a financial exchange with QuickBooks.

Why is this happening: Windows admin permission is not being given to QuickBooks Point of Sale to function properly.

What is the resolution: Download and run the QBPOSAdminUtility.

How to run the utility:

  1. On each computer system the utility will be run (either server or client) log on as Windows administrator.
  2. Right Click “QBPOSAdminUtility.exe” and select option “Run as administrator”.
  3. Click “OK” button once complete.
