Status Code: 3264

What is Status code: 3264?

When running a financial exchange, you see the following error:

Status Code: 3264. Status message: In order to complete this request,
the company data file has to be subscribed to QuickBooks Merchant Account
Services. QuickBooks error message: The company file is not enabled for
Merchant Services.

According to Intuits support site you are getting this error because you are sending Point of Sale credit card sales to QuickBooks using Remote Data Sharing (RDS).

To send merchant account sales through the financial exchange, you will have to choose a
transfer method other than RDS. Start with Solution 1.  If the issue persists, try Solution 2.

Solution 1: Uninstall RDS, Install QuickBooks on the Point of Sale server, and try your financial exchange again

      Uninstall RDS from your Point of Sale server and QuickBooks computer

          Windows 7 and Vista

                a.  From the Point of Sale server: Close Point of Sale, click the Windows Start button, and then click Control Panel.
                b.  Click Programs and Features.
                c.  Select QuickBooks Point of Sale Remote Data Sharing (RDS) and click Uninstall.
                d.  When the uninstall is complete, close the Control Panel.
                e.  From your QuickBooks computer, follow the same steps to remove RDS there also.

          Windows XP

               a.  From the Point of Sale server: Close Point of Sale, click the Windows Start button and select Run.
               b.  In the Open field, enter control, and then click OK.
               c.  Double-click Add or remove programs.
               d.  Select QuickBooks Point of Sale Remote Data Sharing (RDS) and click Uninstall.
               e.  When the uninstall is complete, close the Control Panel.
               f.  From your QuickBooks computer, follow the same steps to remove RDS there also.

Solution 2: Reset integrated applications and make sure you have a password set for your QuickBooks Admin

                a.  In QuickBooks, choose Edit > Preferences.
                b.  Choose Integrated Applications and then click the Company Preferences.
                c.  For each instance you see, select RDS and QuickBooks Point of Sale and then click Remove. Click OK.
                d.  Choose Company > Set up Users and Passwords > Set up Users.
                e.  Select Admin and click Edit User.
                f.  Make sure a password is entered (and challenge question) and then click Next.
                g. Click Finish and then try your financial exchange again.
