Detailed Instructions

To repair an existing QuickBooks installation, make sure QuickBooks is not running and then follow the steps for your operating system:

Windows 8, 7 or Vista

1. On your keyboard, press Windows + E to open the Computer window
2. Note: in Windows 8, click the Computer tab.
3. Click Uninstall or change a program.
4. Select QuickBooks.
5. Once QuickBooks is selected, click Uninstall/Change.
6. In the QuickBooks Installation window, click Next, select the Repair radio button, click Next, click Repair.
7. Click Finish. Your installation of QuickBooks should now be repaired.

Windows XP

1. Click the Start button and select Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select QuickBooks, and then click Change/Remove.
4. In the QuickBooks Installation window, click Next, select the Repair radio button, click Next, click Repair.
5. Click Finish. Your installation of QuickBooks should now be repaired
