In past versions, there was a capability to cash a check for someone.
You opened the sales receipt, added the customer name, selected check, put in the amount and check numbers, and you could save the transaction and hand them the check.
That has changed in Version 19.
Now, after entering the check number and amount, the Save buttons do not go active.
How can I get around this?
At the bottom of the receipt, choose Sell a Miscellaneous Item.
Set the item Quantity to zero, with a zero price.
The save buttons will now become active, and you can give the cash as change.
