When attempting a financial exchange, you see the following error:

QBXML components not installed

 

Why this is happening

Some files installed with your QuickBooks Financial software are missing or damaged.

 

How to fix it

Intuit recommends the following 2 solutions for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to both.

Solution 1: Rename QuickBooks .TLG files and try again

 

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Right-click the Windows Start button and choose Open Windows Explorer.
  3. In the left window, navigate to the following location:
    C:Users\Public\Public Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks Company Files. Look for files ending in .TLG. Right-click each .tlg file and rename it to FILENAME.XXX.
  4. In Point of Sale, try the financial exchange again.

Solution 2: Uninstall and Reinstall QuickBooks

 

  1. Uninstall QuickBooks.
  2. Reinstall QuickBooks.
