The short answer is, no. QuickBooks Point of Sale has templates for printing to a variety of Avery label formats as well.  The most popular being the Avery 5160 and 5167 labels.  With these you can print out inventory tags on your existing inkjet or laser printer using these sheets of labels.  There is even the capability of printing partial sheets by selecting the starting point on the sheet.  Of course that means that you would not be able to take advantage of some of the formats that Intuit has for the Zebra LP 2824 printer such as the Jewelery Tags or Hang Tags.  So, the bottom line is, what are YOUR needs for printing labels?  If you need things like the Hang Tags or Jewelery Tags then the tag printer is something you will want to get.
