  The Contractor Edition of the QuickBooks Enterprise 13.0 does have some differences. And you may want to keep these in mind while you decide which version, or Flavor you want to install.

 Here is one difference.

 When you set up a Vendor that is eligible for 1099’s ( a subcontractor for example), one thing that is nice to know as a contractor, is that the vendors Liability Insurance and WorkMans Comp Insurance is current.

 One way to safeguard yourself is to enter their expiration dates into the Additional Info field in the Contractors edition. These fields are not seen in the other versions. And this help the program to prevent payments made to a sub whose insurance is out of date.
