Those of us who have used the Quick Picks in version 10 found good and bad with it. It made checkouts of commonly sold items a snap, but setting everything up to add the items to the Quick Pick area could be a bit of a pain.
You would have to setup the groups in the Company Preferences, then edit the individual item to add it to the group.
In the new QuickBooks Point of Sale ( v11) 2013, this is no longer the case.
When you enter the Make a Sale Screen, Click on the left menu button for Quick Pick Items. A new screen appears. From this screen you can Add Groups. Much faster than before.
Now click on a Quick Pick Group, you get a second window which has an option to Add Items to this Group. Even Slicker!
Now your capabilities to use the Quick Pick selections ( a new idea and welcome change in V 10) is greatly enhanced.
There has been a lot of work done behind the scenes in QB POS 2013. And the look, feel and functionality show it. If you have not tried the new version, I would.
