GoPayment, Intuit’s solution for processing over the cell phone, has an important advantage over it’s closest competitor, Square. Intuit makes the QuickBooks, TurboTax, Quicken, and other products that link to them, such as Payroll, Merchant Services and Online Banking.
Several companies are now offering cell phone credit card processing. If you are a business, and you want to process credit cards on the spot, imagine your surprise when you find out that Square has limits on the transactions.
According to a recent article posted by the Timesunion.com, Erin Frank of Square states:
“The initial transaction limit is $100/day and $700/week.”
Whoa! Wait a minute! How many businesses really function on sales of that small an amount? Many businesses could go over that limit on a single sale!
Intuit does not have a transactional limit. The more you process, the happier they are. ( Not just because of the fees, but the fact is that anyone who works with small businesses wants to see them grow, and succeed.)
So the next time you think about signing up for Square, remember that there are many things to cause second thoughts. I will stick with the better choice- GoPayment!
